Beach Chairs
I am so happy to have the pretty little beach chairs and the precious settee back in the shop.  They have been gone too long!
These sweet pieces can be found in the Furniture department.

I had an impromptu junkin' outing today with a friend.  We were enjoying a cup of tea, dreaming about the shop we are going to open together (someday) and flipping through home decorating magazines.  It was a lovely morning!  We both had somewhere to be and things to do but we set aside a few minutes (it turned out to be an hour) for a quick look at one of our favourite shops.  I walked out with a trunk full and my friend had two bags in her hands.  Here are a recent purchases....

A Simple Photograph
I thought I would share a few tips about skeleton keys.  They continue to be a hot item on the wedding and party scene.  The Bride's Cafe did a lovely job of pulling together some inspirations.  Here are their ideas.....

I will be honest, it is much better to buy reproduction keys than to rent.  They are just too tiny and guests don't give them a second thought (hey, I don't blame them).  Plus vintage skeleton keys are pricey these days....overpriced in my mind.  Besides it is challenging to find large quantities of vintage keys.

So what are you to do?  I've had quite a few emails about where to source skeleton keys.  So here you go....these are the sources.

BHLDN is offering up a pretty set.  They call them Proprietor's Keys.
A set of 12 costs $18 U.S plus shipping.  Yes, they ship to Canada!  Aren't they lovely?

House of Antique Hardware provides various sizes of skeleton keys with different finishes (think brass, silver and brass plate).  Their products can be ordered in mass quantity for those brides who need 300 for place cards.  They ship to Canada too!

Kennedy Hardware offers similar styles & quantities too.  I think they ship within the U.S. only.

And last but not least, a great inexpensive twist....wooden skeleton keys on Etsy!
12 keys for $8!
