Buckets

I will soon return to regular blogging.  I'm still playing catch-up from two weeks vacation and pulling together pieces for Saturday's photo shoot (I can hardly wait to show you the end result).

While sorting through some things for the shoot, I came across the pile of buckets.  I love these buckets.  The big one is perfect for the ol' bobbing for apples game at parties or fill it with ice to cool down bottles of vino.

The smaller buckets are little versions of sap buckets.  They look sweet filled with annuals and ivy or herbs.  They fit nicely as table center pieces or hanging on a shepherd hook.  I have some soil-free buckets that would look great filled with jelly beans at a candy bar.

I'll be adding to this collection (not all buckets are in the photo) in the spring.  A big galvanized trough is in order.  Gotta keep that beer ice cold!

I am SO EXCITED!

From January 14th-16th, Hazlitt Vintage Rentals will be showcasing our stuff at THE WEDDING SHOW in Toronto.  It is a pleasure to join such a talented group of people!

According to The Wedding Co’s website, the show is a "collection of 125 hand-selected exhibitors, is the perfect place for planning your ultimate wedding. Its boutique-inspired design means that everything you need — from the perfect gown to the finest invitations to the most exquisite flowers and beyond — is available in one inspirational spot."

The Wedding Co. is celebrating their TENTH ANNIVERSARY, so come out and join in the fun.  Check out their web site & purchase your tickets.  It is going to be fabulous.

Yes, the snow is coming.  Soon.   In the meantime, lets keep enjoying a snow-free November.  It isn't too late for a picnic on the beach!

For the past two weeks I've been soaking up the Florida sun.  I over-indulged in ice cream and key lime pie.  I splashed in Gulf coast waters.  I collected sea shells and made sand castles.  I saw alligators, sand hill cranes, sea turtles and dolphins in their natural settings (no theme parks for this gal).  AND, I thought about how much closer we would be to the holiday season when I arrived home.

By now you have probably booked a photographer for your family Christmas card shoot.  Maybe you are trying to catch the first snow fall or maybe the cutting down of a traditional Christmas tree.  I have my favourite photographer on stand-by for the day when those big white flakes float down from the sky.  I also staked out one of the best stands of dogwood in the area.  Dogwood is my favourite winter branch to display.  I want a shot of my family standing in the middle of it, catching snow flakes on our cheeks and eye lashes.  Maybe our chocolate lab sitting on the red sled in the background.

Add a vintage touch to your holiday photo shoot.  I've got ol' skates to swing over your shoulder, the red sled and saw for the Christmas tree, a toboggan to pull the kids along and don't forget about the Car-Snac for hot chocolate and cookies.

I am home for the holidays.  No vacation until 2011.  So even if it is last minute, give me a call.
