Normal Operation of Passenger Trains in Yunnan Resumed, 118 Pairs Operated Daily

  Since March 1, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has resumed the operation of some passenger trains in stages to meet the travel needs of the public, including 25 pairs of inter-provincial passenger trains and 16 pairs of passenger trains operating within Yunnan Province. Plus passenger trains already in operation, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. now has 118 pairs of passenger trains in operation per day.

  With the orderly resumption of work and production of enterprises all over the country, the passenger transportation of China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has gradually resumed, with a ridership 148% higher than that after the Lantern Festival.

  The railway sector has played its role as forerunner in serving the overall economic and social development. To meet the travel demands of passengers while ensuring the prevention and control of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, China Railway Kunming Group Co., Ltd. has resumed the operation of some inter-provincial and intra-provincial passenger trains from March 1. The inter-provincial passenger trains are mainly headed to Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Chongqing, whose number reached 25 pairs, and the intra-provincial passenger trains are mainly to Dali, Lijiang, Qujing, Xuanwei, Mengzi and Hekou, whose number reached 16 pairs.
